About RBA Sports
RBA Sports is a fully-integrated Sports Marketing Agency, located in New York, NY. RBA focuses on the career life-cycle, with an emphasis on post-career planning. Our strategic affiliation with Basketball City at Pier 36, a state of the art 125,000 square foot Sports & Entertainment venue, located adjacent to South Street Seaport in NYC, enables RBA to provide a significant value proposition to RBA athletes, including training with top NBA trainers and unique access to key endorsement partners. RBA has carved a niche in the NBA market-place, leveraging Basketball City, along with the NBA G League, to identify, train and develop players. This methodology enables RBA athletes to increase their visibility within the NBA, along with their earning potential in overseas markets.
RBA has developed a strategic network of Agent partners within each FIBA market. This network helps promote players to teams, while providing professional services to RBA athletes while they play overseas. RBA has successfully negotiated over 500 FIBA contracts, placing players in top markets including Italy, Spain, Greece, France, Turkey, Israel, Argentina and Brazil.
RBA also brings an outstanding financial track record to the table, helping athletes plan for the future, while protecting their wealth. A recent Sports Illustrated article reported that 60% of NBA players are forced to declare bankruptcy within 3 years of retiring from the league. Providing an extensive portfolio of financial services enables RBA to change this dynamic, as athletes are able to focus on their career, while RBA manages the day to day back-office operations, providing sound strategic & financial advice in parallel.

Adam Kemp: “BJ helped me get off to a great start with my professional career. First, as a Rookie playing in The Baltic League and then in my second season, in NBA Summer League with The Detroit Pistons and later with BC Astana, where I played in the VTB League and Euro-cup competition. BJ has been instrumental in every career move I have made since finishing my college career and I am confident knowing my Agent is working for me every step of the way!”
Isaiah Wilkerson: “I signed with BJ before I was even playing in The NBA Development League. He saw me cheering on my team-mates from the bench and he wanted to work together. Since that time, I made The NBA Development League Elite Camp and got my start in Europe, playing for BC Nokia Club, in the top league in Finland. BJ is a straight-shooter and he always has my long-term, best interests in mind.”
Veteran NBA Scout: “I would want BJ to be the Agent for my own Son. He is a great promoter and advocate for his players and he has a great eye for below the radar talent. The way he is leveraging Basketball City and the NBA Development League is very smart, especially now that the league is expanding to 30 teams, with a true one to one affiliation with the NBA parent teams.”
Eric Perugini, Director, Marketing, Kross-over: “We have a great relationship with BJ and RBA Sports. Providing our video break-down capabilities and BBIQ App at The RBA Showcase, is a great platform for us to introduce our technology to a targeted audience within the NBA & FIBA markets.”
